MPP Vickers Announces Supplemental Funding for Local Healthcare Organizations

OWEN SOUND – MPP Paul Vickers is pleased to announce that three local healthcare organizations have received supplemental funding from the Ministry of Health. This additional funding is broken down into the following streams: 

One-time Additional Funding for Additional CT Diagnostic Services Provided (2024-25): 

The organizations below received top-up funding for providing CT scanning services over and above their allocated amount. This funding recognizes their dedication to reducing wait times in our healthcare system.

South Bruce Grey Health Centre	1,186	$296,500

Psychiatric Stipend Program: 

This funding provides additional support for hospitals to help recruit clinicians to provide hospital-based mental health services, ensuring those in need can receive services close to home.

Enhancing Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Centres:

The provincial government is dedicated to enhancing and expanding services at existing Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Centres. This funding will be used to support additional nursing staff, including a Clinical Nurse Team Leader.
