Meet Paul Vickers
Paul was elected as the Member of Provincial Parliament for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound on February 27, 2025 and has been appointed to be Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness.
Paul Vickers is a lifelong resident of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound and has dedicated his life to community service and our region’s successful agricultural sector.
A second-generation dairy farmer who took over his family farm at a young age, Paul understands both the opportunities and challenges facing communities across Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound. Paul served on the Board of Directors for twelve years, including as Chair, of Gay-Lea Foods, a co-operative consisting of over 1,300 dairy farms in Ontario and Manitoba.
Paul also served as a Vice-President of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture for six years, where he played a key role supporting Ontario’s agricultural sector through the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2018, Paul was elected as a Councillor for the Municipality of Meaford, serving until 2022.
Paul’s priorities for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound are to advocate for investments in local infrastructure, support our local businesses and workers, ensure high-quality healthcare is delivered here at home, and make sure communities across the constituency thrive for generations to come.
Paul resides on his family farm in Meaford with his wife, Karen. They are proud parents of four adult children – Stephanie, Franklin, Cassandra, and Jack.
